This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect through the FlightMode mobile app, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and your rights.
It applies to all users of the app.

1) Data we collect
FlightMode is designed to collect as little data as possible.
We only collect data strictly necessary for the app to function.
1. No account, no personal identification
The FlightMode app does not require:
- Account creation
- Password
- Personal identifiers
We do not store or process any personal identity information.
2. Flight activity & statistics (stored locally only)
To operate FlightMode’s core features, we store the following on your device:
- Selected airports of departure and arrival
- Flight duration (Pomodoro sessions)
- Flight completion history
- Local statistics (total hours flown, number of sessions, streaks, etc.)
These data never leave your device unless you manually make a backup using your OS features (iCloud backup, device backup, etc.).
3. Technical data
The app may collect minimal, anonymous technical data, such as crash logs and basic performance diagnostics.
This is handled automatically by the operating system (iOS) or Apple’s crash reporting.
No advertising SDK or tracking SDK is used.
4. Purchases data (via RevenueCat)
FlightMode uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions.
RevenueCat may process:
- Anonymous user identifier generated by RevenueCat
- Purchase history (active subscription, expiration date)
RevenueCat does not receive:
- Your name
- Your email
- Payment information (handled by Apple)
All in-app transactions are processed by Apple App Store under their own privacy and security rules.
2) Purposes of processing
We process data only to:
- Allow you to run virtual flights and Pomodoro sessions
- Save your flight history and statistics locally
- Validate your in-app purchases or subscriptions via RevenueCat
- Improve stability and reliability of the app (crash diagnostics)
- Store your preferences (sounds, notifications, map mode)
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or tracking.
3) Legal bases
Depending on your region, the following legal bases may apply:
- Contract performance: enabling the app’s core features
- Legitimate interests: improving app performance and stability
- Consent: notifications, and OS-level permissions
You may withdraw permissions directly from your device settings at any time.
4) Sharing and recipients
We do not share your personal data with third parties beyond the essential services below:
RevenueCat
Used solely to:
- Check whether you have an active subscription
- Manage entitlements and unlock premium features
RevenueCat does not access any personal information beyond anonymous identifiers related to purchases.
We do not sell your data.
We do not share your data with advertisers.
No data is sent to any third-party analytics provider.
5) International transfers
RevenueCat may process anonymous purchase data on servers located inside or outside the EU.
When such transfers occur, RevenueCat relies on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
FlightMode itself does not transfer any personal data because no personal data is collected.
6) Data retention
- Flight history & statistics: stored locally on your device and deleted when you uninstall the app.
- Purchase data: retained by RevenueCat for as long as required to maintain subscription access.
- Technical logs: retained automatically by your device or Apple depending on system settings.
We do not store any data on our own servers.
7) Security
Your data is stored on your device and protected by your device’s security features (iOS secure storage).
All interactions with RevenueCat and Apple servers use HTTPS encryption.
No authentication tokens or sensitive data are stored.
8) Your rights (GDPR / privacy laws)
Since FlightMode does not collect identifiable personal data, most rights do not apply.
However, depending on your region, you may request:
- Information about the data processed by RevenueCat
- Deletion of RevenueCat purchase identifiers
- Opt-out from analytics at the OS level (Apple settings)

10) Trackers and storage
FlightMode uses no tracking technologies.
The app uses device storage only to save:
- Your session data
- Preferences
- Flight history
- Subscription status (local cache)
No cookies, no advertising identifiers, no behavioral tracking.
11) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when needed—for example, if features change or legal requirements evolve.
The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version.
We will notify you in the app if significant changes occur.
